Pet Care Support
Merchandise Co-ordinator
Hi, I'm Deb!
Loving and caring for animals my whole life, I feel lost without a warm, furry body to snuggle up to for support. As a youngster, I wanted to own a pet shop, so that I could have as many animals as I wanted, but quickly changed my mind once I realised that I would have to let them leave.
So began my passion for rescue and rehabilitation. Always a sucker for a sob story, I soon became the go-to foster home for the 'sensitive' bunnies at a local rescue and rehome centre; at one stage I was privileged to care for a combined litter of 22 babies and their perfect foster daddy, Hugo. I officially joined the rescue family as volunteer coordinator, looking after the incredible team who delivered daily onsite care, progressing to site manager as time went on. My perfect job!
Now it so happens that, at one of the fabulous fundraising events the fluffies attended, I came across Daybreaks Greyhound Rescue for the first time. A long-term devoted dog owner, this was my first encouter with this gentle breed, and yes, you got it... I became a fosterer - actually, a repeat failed fosterer.
Once again, I became one of the emergency foster homes, welcoming beauties that were struggling with kennel life, perhaps needing a little extra time and patience, rehabilitation, or home training. I have been fortunate enough to have had many 'greyt' houseguests, some staying permanently, whilst others have gone on to their forever homes - each and every one having left paw prints on my heart.
It is my absolute pleasure to now have the opportunity to work alongside Lana, supporting her as MyPet grows. We are living the dream, bonding with your special fur-babies, and helping you to provide the very best of love and care doe your beloved furry friends.
